Alt energy: sun

The sun is the source of life on our planet, and also a source of endless energy. Solar panels and collectors are actively used in space and on Earth. So, all spacecraft operate on solar batteries, and on Earth, solar collectors are increasingly used. The energy of the sun belongs to the category of renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources. Unfortunately, there are no traps on Earth yet capable of fully utilizing solar energy. Currently, solar energy uses about 20 percent of solar energy, and the remaining 80 are simply wasted.

To obtain energy, electromagnetic radiation from the Sun is used - these are heat waves (infrared rays), light and radio waves. This radiation is converted into heat or electricity in special devices: batteries and collectors. Solar panels consist of photovoltaic cells - special plates that capture solar radiation and convert it into direct electric current, and collectors collect thermal energy, which is carried by visible light and infrared rays, and use it to heat a coolant - usually water. Thus, collectors are used in hot water supply and heating, and solar panels are used to generate electricity.

The main advantage of using solar panels and collectors is the use of renewable energy sources and the absence of additional payments - there is no tax on the Sun yet. However, it should be remembered that along with the installation of such equipment, it is necessary to use other energy sources - the main disadvantage of using solar energy in its seasonality. Despite the fact that even in cloudy weather some part of the heat and light energy reaches the traps, this volume may not be enough for full heating of water or for generating electricity.
